Q: What kind of services are provided by Denver Psychiatric Services

A:  Our goal is comprehensive mental health care by highly trained providers under one roof.  These services include psychotherapy, discussion surrounding medications, as well as lifestyle-focused care.  We work with each patient as an individual to determine needs and provide holistic care to improve quality of life.

Q: Do you serve any non-traditional or minority populations?

A:  Absolutely!  We are proud to serve people from all walks of life, including racial and clutural minorities.  We believe in gender-affirming care, and addressing unique mental healh concerns for LGBTQ+ populations as well as those who have non-traditional lifestyles such as those engaging in ethical non monogamy.

Q: Why does your office not accept insurance?

A: Our model of comprehensive, holistic mental health care is deeply individualized and  we feel it is important to meet each patient's needs in a personalized way.  We find that insurance tends to limit the type and amount of care we can provide and we are better able to meet your needs outside of this system.  We are always willing to work with you to help provide insurance with documentation which can lead to reimbursement for some of the cost of your visits.

Q:  I am having a mental health emergency or need immediate, urgent care.  What should I do?

A:  Our office does not provide any kind of emergency or after-hours care.  If you are having any kind of emergency, please call 911.  For urgent mental health care, you can aslo attend your local emergency room or call the national mental health crisis line at 988.
